When I started to write this book (for that is what it will become) I felt I was recording something that was about to change. A way of life thatwas about to be lost. A moment in time. The end of an age, somewhere between the bucolic and the technical.
Then, a few months in, the Covid 19 pandemic of 2020 came upon us. Now I feel even more strongly that things will never be the same. Things will be different, some for the better, some for the worse.
I feel I am recording something important, maybe a tipping point in history. But I do it with a light hand, a touch of wit, happy memories, and a respect for what is good in our country and in our lives.
